Although I am not an early riser, waking up early to have breakfast with the Aventura Marketing Council is worth it.  I don't work for them  On the contrary, I am a realtor in the Aventura, Sunny Isles, Bal Harbour and Miami area and find this a great place to network and yes, a place to gossip.  We always get the latest gossip about what is going on in the Aventura area and usually about other areas too because Commissioners from places like Sunny Isles visit too.  Anyone can be a member.  And even as realtors many of us that go have a chance to interchange ideas and listings. Well since the first of the year sales have been a little slow. The Aventura market currently has 63 active single family homes on the market. We have had no sales on single family homes since the first of the year. No properties have gone under contract and one property expired off the MLS service.We have 2,359 active listings representing Condominiums, Townhomes and Villas currently on the market. We have seen two properties sold since the first of the year and another 17 are under contract currently. Twelve properties have expired off the MLS system.I see the market picking up steam.
