  Atlantis Shot of the Day…Rocky came for a look too   In our little piece of paradise in the City of Atlantis of S. Florida we attract various wildlife on a continuous basis. It includes sea turtles, ducks, egrets, snakes, iguanas, opossums, tree lizards etc. Several months ago I was working this little patch of garden where my pineapples are growing and out of my peripheral, I see this dark body practically walking by. They have a brilliant green body, without the red dots. I have not seen one in a while, so this was a pleasant surprise for the morning.   Sunday Shot of the Day from Atlantis, Florida These are a couple of our Publix Pineapples in the making. Publix is a grocery store chain down here in S. Florida. We purchased these cut the top off and replanted them by first dropping them in water, and waiting for them to start growing roots. It is amazing like potatoes that unlike having seeds these things will eventually produce. Fast forwarding nearly two years from being planted a baby pineapple now appears. We have four all together which are planted beside each other. We can’t wait to start the process all over again from these little guys.     04/08/2012

  A Tribute To My Dad I grew up in a church family thank God, but unlike most families my Father was the organist for just about all the churches we attended. I can still remember sitting with him while he practiced at the church, most of them old BTW. As any curious kid would also do, that is look around at things behind doors not normally viewed, while taking a break as he practiced at nights sometimes. My father earned one of his degrees studying sacred music, the traditional type. Personally though I like Rock & Roll, but when it comes to church, my opinion should be this type only. This time has a special sadness and perhaps a joyous ending for it was between Good Friday & Easter my dad went to see his maker.    If Turtles can climb out of a rut, so can you.   I spotted Tommy the turtle the other day, but missed the shot because my camera was in my car. Yesterday I must have spotted the same one. On the first sighting it looked like the size of a manhole cover climbing up the bank. The one yesterday has to be the same one. The picture doesn’t do justice based on what I saw and presented here.   Would This Drive You Crazy and Why??? Has anybody checked the price of gas lately? I believe it went up another .25 cents this month. Now of course that is due to the change from Winter blend to Summer blend which they make sure they tell us every year. I wonder how many of us really believe this, perhaps they want to make a little more in the first quarter, who knows. My story isn’t about gas prices as it is driving what you want and not comprising with some kind of fuel efficient bean can, the Obama administration would like us all to drive.
