  Buyers: Shadow Inventory Of REO Properties     Buyers, it's become clear that the major banks are starting to unload their REO inventory.  We have seen it already in cities nationwide. The biggest reason is the rising values of homes.  Banks have been waiting for home values to return to normalcy and to begin an upward trend before releasing the unbelievable amount of shadow inventory they are holding on to.   Now that home values have had some wind at their back, banks are ramping up their REO sales teams and starting to dump the inventory.  Don't expect a huge flood all at once though.  It will come little by little  because the banks don't want to shock the housing market either.
