What does Baseball, 9/11 and President Bush all have in common? Most people are not aware that a secret service guy dressed as an umpire the night President Bush threw out the first pitch during the 2001 World Series at Yankee Stadium. Great story. I'm surprised that none of the newspaper guys ever picked up on the "stranger" in the umpire's uniform. Remember this was just after 9/11 ................... If you don't do anything else today, just watch this .... it's great .. Opening World Series Pitch - 12 years ago. This is our country at one of its best moments.... This is a great clip, don't miss it!!

Million Dollar Home Sales Take A Jump as The Wealthy Return as Buyers Real estate has returned as a favorite topic of conversation at the pair of Starbucks Corp. (SBUX) coffee shops in Granite Bay, a Sacramento, California, suburb where the median income is double the rest of the state. “When the real estate market was booming, people sat in Starbucks and talked about how much they paid for a house,” said Craig Moe, who in June bought a $1.2 million property discounted 25 percent from its sale six years ago. “Now, they talk about how little they paid and what a bargain they got.” Home sales from Los Angeles to Charleston, South Carolina that are priced at more than $1 million are gaining at triple the pace of the broader market, according to real estate research firm DataQuick Inc.   A tribute to my passion of Rock & Roll and this 6 year old drummer   I came across this prodigy Avery Moleck a 6-year old rock & roll drummer a few months ago. He plays in various guest spots along with his own band. Truly a gifted child even if you don’t like hard rock which he seems to have mastered. How anyone plays this well at this age marvels those that spend years of practice. I hope God continues to bless this youngster with even more talent and gives us all an inspiration to work hard at what we can master. Song from Van Halen's album "1984"   Girl Gone Bad

First Bipartisan Senate Bill Introduced to the Housing Finance Committee     A bipartisan group of Senators introduced Tuesday a bill to remake the role of the federal government in mortgage finance. The bill proposes replacing Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac with a new guarantor, the Federal Mortgage Insurance Corp. The FMIC would offer reinsurance of mortgage securities if private creditors ever reached another crisis in the future. The legislation would “require private entities to buy mortgages from lenders and issue them to investors as securities,” Reuters reports. “Private equity would be required to absorb a 10 percent loss of the principal underlying those new mortgage-backed securities if the loans went bad.” Click HERE for more of the story Daily Real Estate News

Family Plays Fowl on the 4th of July 2013   We had a little family get together at our famous eating post on the 4th. As you can see there are the two new comers estimated about 6-7 weeks old along with the old timers. The other species (Wood Ducks) has a very unique and colorful head which is prettier up close. They at times can get along and eat together; however there is seniority to the group. Hope you enjoy.

Florida A Florida senior citizen drove his brand new Corvette convertible out of the dealership. Taking off down the road, he pushed it to 80 mph, enjoying the wind blowing through what little hair he had left. “Amazing,” he thought as he flew down I-95, pushing the pedal even more.   Looking in his rear view mirror, he saw a Florida State Trooper, blue lights flashing and siren blaring. He floored it to 100 mph, then 110, then 120. Suddenly he thought, “What am I doing? I’m too old for this!” and pulled over to await the trooper’s arrival.   Pulling in behind him, the trooper got out of his vehicle and walked up to the Corvette. He looked at his watch, then said, “Sir, my shift ends in 30 minutes. Today is Friday. If you can give me a new reason for speeding – a reason I’ve never bef...

How To Be A Better Negotiator In Four Easy Steps   Negotiating is something everyone does, but only a number of us do well. Below are a few tips to help you negotiate better so you can feel confident with the process and be satisfied with the outcome.   Number one:, be prepared. Know the other person's needs along with yours too. By asking questions that uncover the individual's true motivation such as "Why do you want that?" and "Why is that important to you?"
