Back in May I wrote a blog about Gifts for Buyers coming from the sellers. I had a young couple that were trying to buy a home. There were some issues that came up in the inspection that would have affected the purchase of the home especially if they were addressed as inspection related issues. To overcome this we attempted to get a seller paid closing costs addendum into the contract so that the buyers could keep their cash reserves to handle the repairs and not add additional burden to the mortgage. We're into summer and the flowers are just hopping out. Our day lilies are just bursting, and every day there are new ones starting to bud.   It's like the yard is in a contest to show it's colors first and get the best of the summer sun. There should be a blaze of lilies for at least another couple of weeks. In the mean time, as if waiting for the right minute, the hydrangeas are starting their blossoms and the meiderlander roses are starting to show their colors as well. It;s a wonderful time of year, the flowers are active, the clients are active and there are a bunch of things to do outside. Enjoy the summer.

Happy Father's Day, June 20, 2010. Father's Day is a day of commemoration and celebration of Dad. It is a day to not only honor your father, but all men who have acted as a father figure in your life - whether as Stepfathers, Uncles, Grandfathers, or "Big Brothers."   I was very fortunate to have a father taht paid attention to us as kids, and was there to teach us right from wrong, even though I had a tendency to et them confused so often. Dad was there for baseball and basketball. Although he never played the game he got me my first set of golf clubs when I was 14. He taught me to drive.
