While working yesterday morning, my cell phone rang, and the caller had a most unusual request:   Are the chain saws still on sale? They asked. What I asked, thinking I had not heard them properly? Is this Schmidt's and Serafines they repeated?  I'm sorry you have the wrong number I replied.   It was definitely not a wrong number for me.  Last year as part of an ActiveRain Localism contest I had blogged about Schmidt's and Serafines, a local hardware store.   That's right, there was a special RainCamp in Canada on Wednesday, Aug 4, with attendance by Special Invitation. As my wife needs a break from work  eventually, we decided to visit Niagara Falls as she had never been there. This thought to visit the Falls was not without a selfish motive, however, as it's location on the Canadian border is a relatively short drive from Brampton, Ontario Canada, home to Al & Peggy Cunningham. VET FEST D'VILLE WATERBURY, CT JULY 31, 2010 On Saturday, July 31, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. the Waterbury Veterans' Memorial Committee sponsored the first Vet Fest D'Ville at Waterville Park in the Waterville neighborhood of Waterbury, CT.
