While coming down the 18th fairway at the East Mountain golf course, (The Mountain) in Waterbury last Sunday morning, services at the Abbey of clean Fairways, the clubhouse and flag just seemed to be calling to me.We were in the last official tournament of the season, President's Cup with blue team against the red team. Friday Flags in Waterbury Zip 06706 East MountainAs one drives up Rt 69 out of Waterbury, they are met with a grassy expanse which is the earthen dam of the East Mountain water containment reservoir. No longer used for drinking water, it is just place where anglers will try to catch the fish that have they water as their home.The water itself is not safe for swimming and on occasion it claims a victim.The striking feature that captures attention is the name of the neighborhoods and a carefully placed flag in detail.The neighborhood itself is all residential homes and covers a lot of area of almost 300 homes.
