So, After Spending 45 Minutes in the House, What do You Think?   I held a Waterbury CT Open House this past Sunday. It was a drizzly, chilly day for May, but I had posted all the marketing 3 weeks previously so it had to be done. The owners had cleaned the house thoroughly; cut the grass; pruned the bushes, all in preparations of giving the home it's best possible chance.   It was lightly attended, with some interest from potential buyers and no neighbors. Waterbury CT Cultural Gathering Sat May 18 at Library Park   The façade of the Waterbury City Hall is adorned with the flags of 52 nations representing the ethnicity of the residents of the town. As a celebration of this diversity, the city of Waterbury CT will hold a cultural Gathering on Sat May 18 in Library Park. Waterbury CT Tulip Festival May 5 at Fulton Park It may not be Holland as in the Netherlands, or Holland as in Michigan, but the tulips will look the same and the appreciation for their colors will be just as strong. Sunday May 5 from 11 AM to 4 PM is the 3rd Annual Tulip Festival at Fulton Park in Waterbury CT. Volunteers have been planting the beds that scatter through the ark with bulbs so that their blossoms can be appreciated by all. Waterbury CT Taxes To Drop?   According to an article in the Republican-American today, property owners are to see their mill rate go up, but their overall tax bill to decrease, as a result of the recent revaluation of city properties. Mayor Neil O'Leary is proposing to keep city spending for the next fiscal year at the same level as this year, at $382.2 million. That proposal will require raising the mill rate from it's current 41.82 mills to 58.16 mills. The reason for the proposed increase is the fact that the revaluation required by Connecticut state law every 5 years shows that property values have dropped significantly from the last five years in Waterbury.
