Pay it Forward   The 19th Annual Bobby Bonds Golf Tournament, sponsored by New Opportunities for Waterbury, was held Monday, September 23 at the Waterbury Country Club. This tournament again drew a field of almost 100 golfers, all here to honor the memory of Bobby Bonds and to support the tournament that Bobby Bonds started as a way of giving back to the community that was so supportive of him when he played here as a member of the Waterbury Giants, AA affiliate in 1967. A Late Summer Sunset in Waterbury CT Everyone has to get sunsets, but the type of terrain we live in may not always allow for those spectacular shots. We were fortunate this past Friday evening to be in just the right spot. On a hill at the apex of East Mountain, we were attending an evening wedding reception at a new banquet facility that just opened. The views of Waterbury were exceptional and I shall venture up there to take additional photos as the seasons allow. A Gargoyle For Protection, But is it Ever Ugly As I was walking up to a front door showing a home in Waterbury CT, I has to pause to take in the decoration that the sellers had on their front stoop.   This was a very unexpected trophy, and not at all common in our area. A Gargoyle is not uncommon in Europe and often are used to divert water off of the roofs of large buildings. A gargoyle has a long history dating back to the 12 and 13th centuries. The Roman Church viewed them as a concept to convey evil, which was useful in scaring the majority of people, many of them were illiterate. So, After Spending 45 Minutes in the House, What do You Think?   I held a Waterbury CT Open House this past Sunday. It was a drizzly, chilly day for May, but I had posted all the marketing 3 weeks previously so it had to be done. The owners had cleaned the house thoroughly; cut the grass; pruned the bushes, all in preparations of giving the home it's best possible chance.   It was lightly attended, with some interest from potential buyers and no neighbors. Waterbury CT Cultural Gathering Sat May 18 at Library Park   The façade of the Waterbury City Hall is adorned with the flags of 52 nations representing the ethnicity of the residents of the town. As a celebration of this diversity, the city of Waterbury CT will hold a cultural Gathering on Sat May 18 in Library Park.
