Fulton Park to Host the Waterbury CT Tulip Festival Inspired by the large tulip fields in Holland that spread a wave of color across the landscape, the Waterbury CT Tulip Festival brings a feeling of spring to all that attend. Tulip beds dotted throughout the park  are planted to offer colors and good spirits for the attendees. Volunteers have spent hours cleaning the park of debris and restoring the greenery to what it once was. Sunday May 4 from 11 AM to 4 PM is the 4th Annual Tulip Festival at Fulton Park in Waterbury CT. This year’s organizers are hoping to see 600-700 people stroll the grounds. If A Rental seems Too Good to be True, it Probably Isn’t. I received a phone call from a person asking to meet up with me so they could get the keys to one of my listings. They explained that they had rented the house from the owners and were going to be there until the house was sold. They knew the names of the owners and explained that the owners could not meet with them as they were out of the country. They did not believe me when I explained to them that the owners were not out of the country and were in fact living less than a mile away from the house in a rental unit. Making A City Feel Proud and a little Bit Prettier The City of Waterbury CT is holding its 22 Citywide Earth Day Cleanup on Saturday, April 26 2014 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon. A Bit of Relief, Once upon a Time Earlier this week, I was getting a flat tire on a brand new tire repaired, although not as quickly as I would have liked. I walked outside of the facility located on Lakewood Rd in Waterbury just to enjoy a bit of the spring sunshine. I had been on this road many a time but this bit of reprieve allowed me to see something I had passed for years. This stretch of road is a level piece atop a road with 2 steep grades each way. There would have been a time when many a traveler with a team of horses would have stopped to rest and maybe look for a way to refresh. This home had a way of helping travelers on the route.
