The Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church  Mother's Day Festival is this weekend on the grounds of the church at 937 Chase Parkway, Waterbury CT.The tent is up, the chairs and tables are in, the booths and food cases are loaded and waiting for the people to arrive. The stands will the plants and flowers are loaded but by the end of the weekend, all will be gone. As I pulled into the almost full parking lot for lunch today, the music was n the air and the good feelings began to stir. Heading straight to the gyro stand, and impatiently waiting in line, the smell was breath taking.  The gyro sandwich which is a heated pit bread, filled with shaved, barbecued beef or lamb, with tomatoes, onions, and seasoned with tahini sauce. A Very Successful Scholarship DinnerThe Dennis J Antonacci Jr Scholarship was a very successful event Dennis F Antonacci, Jr Memorial Scholarship. Dennis was held to raise funds to  increase the reserves of the scholarship fund.  140 people came in to enjoy the food, the raffles and socialize with their fellow friends. This was the first year the scholarships were awarded and both recipients were there to accept the accolades of the family. Mercury Energy Services A Full Service Oil Company in Waterbury CT   We have been having some exceptionally cold weather in Connecticut so far this winter. A Bank Accountant Thought They Saved a Few Dollars Earlier in the year I started to work with a distressed family on a short sale. They had been through an attempt at loan modification and were denied but the bank was willing to wait for them to attempt a short sale.   When I made contact with their file manager, they gave me the bank's required number based on an appraisal done within the previous 30 days.
