National Home Insurance Ratings. Protect your home; both Consumer Report and J.D.Power came out with separate homeowner insurance reports and ratings in September 2012.  According to the survey the greater the damages the greater the likelihood the homeowner received less than expected with almost 10% overall of the survey were in disagreement with the claim payment but when damages were over $25,000, 19% were in disagreement. Both reports and ratings have Amica Insurance with the best reviews and with Erie Insurance and State Farm above industry standards. Real Estate Stocks Outperformed 2012 Market.   WSJ article “REITs Gained in 2012 on Economy, Housing” shows improved outlook housing and real estate market with some analysts expecting another strong year ahead. The Dow Jones Equity ALL REITs index tracks 136 real estate investment trusts had a return last year of almost 20%, more than double 2011. Stocks of Home Builders posted strong returns as well with the Dow Jones US Construction Index 83% higher in 2012.
