46th Southington CT Apple Harvest Festival It’s the first weekend of the Southington CT Apple Harvest Festival, and although the weather has been questionable the fun is still there. This is the 46th year and it should be every bit as successful with organizers expecting another 100,000 person crowd by the time it ends next Sunday evening. Today being Groundhog Day, Paunxsutawney Phil in PA and Chuckles here in Manchester CT. Although 200 miles apart both saw the same thing. It was their shadows and the prediction of 6 more weeks of this winter. We can't complain too much about the snow as we haven't been hit as hard as we were in past years, but the cold has been record breaking.
