Halloween in Newtown, CT  2013  For the past 2 years, Halloween in Newtown didn't really happen.  First was the October Storm in 2011 and then Hurricane Sandy in 2012.  Halloween was postponed both years and the turn out was really low.  For Halloween in Newtown, CT 2013, there were some light rain showers, but Halloween happened - ON HALLOWEEN!  The last time we posted a blog about Halloween in Newtown was 2008! The trick or treaters started around 4:30 pm and went to about 9:00 pm.  They started out slowly, but soon they were out en mass.  Main Street in Newtown is very festive with many of the homes decorated.  Some have themes ... some don't have any decorations at all.
