Today I had to meet a HVAC contractor to service the furnace and air conditioning at a condo that clients of mine recently rented in the Harbour Landing complex in New Haven.  This complex is located in an area of New Haven that I travel through frequenly. Yet today as I drove down Long Wharf Drive whcih runs between 1-95 and the New Haven Harbor I noticed for the first time numerous monuments that were placed along the harbourfront.  It's funny how you drive by an area numerous times and don't take notice of the surroundings.  There was something that drew me to this spot today so I parked my car in the parking lot and walked across the street to see what these monuments were. At the west end of Long Wharf Park is a black granite V for the Vietnam Memorial listing the names in honor of...

We have definitely hit the dog days of summer over the past couple of weeks with the high temperatures and humidity we've been experiencing along the Southern Connecticut shoreline. The cool ocean breezes that flow through the neighborhood of Morris Cove in New Haven CT has helped to lessen that heat and humidity to a bit lesser degree. This evening my husband and I took my granddaughter to Lighthouse Point Park so we could watch the beatiful sunset this evening and take in the sights of a few boaters and jet skiers near the boat ramp. There is nothing more serene and peaceful than watching a beautiful sunset on a warm summer evening.Boaters cruise along the New Haven Harbor with a beautiful backdrop and calm waters. The park closes at sunset and after a day of fun in the sun jet skiing it'...

On Friday afternoon, we were hit with a tremendously powerful thunderstorm all across the state of Connecticut.  There were many areas of the state that were heavily damaged from the heavy winds and torrential downpours. Power lines went down, people and businesses lost power. trees fell into homes and there were many areas that were heavily flooded. In its aftermath, the sun broke through and I just happened to look out my window and saw a glow in the sky and grabbed my camera to take these photos..  Mother Nature may have dealt us a heavy blow for a few hours but in her mysterious way opened up the sky to this vision of beauty. **************************************************************************************** Written and Posted by: Donna Bigda - REALTOR® RE/MAX Alliance - Branfo...

How to Go from Bad Credit to Great Credit Do you have a client with bad credit? Not quite sure just how bad it really is? Frustrated and confused when it comes to deciphering the mess and trying to figure out what to do about it? Well, you're not alone.  I'm going to help you figure out exactly how bad their credit is and what you need to do to help them raise their scores and retake control of your sale. To do this you'll need to order their credit reports from all three of the major credit reporting agencies. Although there are numerous websites to order reports and scores from, they don't need to spend a dime. Thanks to the Fair Credit Reporting Act, every...
