1st Annual Branford Garden Club Scarecrow Contest On The Branford Green If you've driven by the Branford Green this week you've seen some strange looking characters hanging around.  It's all part of the 1st Annual Branford Garden Club Scarecrow Contest on the Branford Green. They've been on display since October 7th and tomorrow October 14th is the last day to stop by to see them and vote for your favorite.  The Branford Garden Club is sponsoring the event and members will be strolling around the green wearing their green and pink aprons accepting donations to replace the trees that were lost during tropical storm Irene. My office is located a few hundred feet from the Branford Armory where on its corner stands a U.S. Army tank.  This tank has been there for the past 30 years placed there as part of the Town of Branford's Korean War Veteran's Memorial. I drive by it every time I go to the office so what a surprise it was to me when sometime in early August I noticed that the place where the tank stood was completely empty.   The tank was missing and I had not seen or heard anything on the news about where it had gone. With the tank removed from the front of the Branford Armory it was so sad and just wasn't the same driving by that corner and not see it standing there and not knowing where it had gone. RE/MAX Long Drive Qualifier & 2nd Annual Golfers Giving Back Event At The Fairways Driving Range In Branford Connecticut         What a great turnout today for the RE/MAX Long Drive Qualifier & 2nd Annual Golfers Giving Back Event that was held at The Fairways Driving Range in Branford Connecticut.       A number of agents from our RE/MAX Alliance office volunteered their time to help out at the registration table and recording the distance of each of the six shots the golfers were allowed to take in their bid to qualify.
