There are so many Halloween events piling up on October 25 this year in Highlands Ranch. I believe we have covered 2 and out of the 4 total Highlands Ranch rec centers, previously detailed in our Highlands Ranch property management community event watch blog. Now we add another to the foray, the Southridge rec center and it’s the Therapeutic Recreation Spooktacular Dance. The event description mentions that you can come for some fearsome fun, dress up in your favorite costume and dance the night away. Members pay only $12 and Program Guests buy $14 tickets at the door or online. That Friday 10/25 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm will be the entire dance. There has always been the endless debate about whether Halloween should be on the preceding weekend or the weekend after, if the holiday itself falls on an unfortunate day like Thursday. If you’ve had your Halloween events in mind this month, you may see that a lot of them are colliding on the weekend of 10/25. You may have guessed it already, but Halloween is on a Thursday this year. Celebrating on the actual night is never good unless you have a different type of schedule or there is a possibility you do not have work the next day.                 It’s Coffee with a Cop! The Highlands Ranch property management blog presents an event that always occurs once or twice a year, where you are able to grab a cup of joe and get to know your local Douglas County Sheriff’s Department. They partner with HRCA to create an environment that is informal, relaxed and an atmosphere where residents and business owners have a chance to connect. This one is happening on 10/22 at the Southridge Rec Center from 8:00am to 10:00am. We’ve had plenty of residents come through this event and have told us how valuable it is. There is never a good opportunity to be able to sit down with your local police force. It is just something that does not happen often. The Highlands Ranch mansion is busy this year, and especially in this month. The Classical Music Series at the Mansion is proud to present a night of Flutes and Fairy Tales on October 17th. Brought on in part from the Highlands Ranch Cultural Affairs Association is proud to present a three-part series of classical music showcasing the rich history of the Mansion. The final Film in the Park movie series in Highlands Ranch is tomorrow evening.  August 30 heralds the end of the summer movie series, but not exactly the entire end of the summer.  Although the weather seems to be cooling off, September is usually still the bookend of summer, at least in a Highlands Ranch property management cycle.  The Civic Green Park is hosting The Incredibles 2 and seating is free for everyone.  You may want to get there early if you would like  a good spot, as this event is popular, and lot of people show up to it.  Put on by the HRCA they have a great projector and screen set up and there will be movie snacks available via the best vendors for the movies, Cornzapoppin and Kona Ice. The Final Summer’s Sunset Concert’s sun is setting this Friday in the Civic Green Park, in Highlands Ranch, will celebrate the sun setting on another wonderful Highlands Ranch summer with the Highlands Ranch Community Association’s and Highlands Ranch Metro District’s Summer Sunset Concert. This was a fabulous music series that has been happening throughout the summer. There are actual a lot more concerts to come but the Summer Sunset’s summer sunset sun’s setting is this Friday from 6:30 to 8:00pm. The end of the sun setting comes at actual sunset. They could not have timed that any more perfectly the food trucks will be out and available for dinner. There are two final 2019 Pottery Sale Dates in August and on November 11. Check it out August 30th. As a reminder it is all handmade, and the Pottery Sale display is created on site by HRCA’s own pottery studio. Stop by the studio at Southridge and take a look about joining a class. You can find a unique gift, or a special piece for yourself. This a tri-annual pottery sale in the Highlands Ranch property management circles, and the pieces often end up at a lot of the rentals and open houses throughout the summer.
