Tonight March 3, 2011, the Colorado High School State Championship Ice Hockey State Championship game will take place at the Pepsi Center as the Regis Jesuit High School Raiders take on Lewis-Palmer High School.  The puck will drop at 6pm in downtown Denver at the Pepsi Center for what is expected to be a great game.  Both teams have had great seasons and the Raiders are coming into the game with a very successful playoff run and both teams were ranked #1 coming into the playoffs in their respective brackets.  My family is big ice hockey fans, as my son plays as well but he isn't quite at the high school level, yet.  If you are planning to go, the games starts at 6 and tickets can be purchased at the door.  Show up a little early, I wouldn't be surprised if there is a bit of a line to p... 03/03/2011

I've taken the statistical real estate data by zip code for many of the south metro Denver areas for the month of January 2011. It seems to be a mixed bag, but ultimately about a split between areas that have a higher amount of inventory and those that are a bit more balanced. I work in a sweetheart of an office at Metro Brokers Marina Square. I came in this morning to find a large vase of red roses at the front desk with a note saying "Happy Valentines Day - Take A Rose". In our front conference room, there were yummy cupcakes all decorated in red and pink, cookies, coffee cake and chips and salsa.  Our office manager, Carol Shell, always does a great job of helping us celebrate the holidays. Our office has 114 real estate agents, so there are lots of people coming and going all day long.  Everyone is always warmly greeted by the awesome ladies at the front desk who work hard setting showings for our listings all day long. I am lucky enough to work at the Metro Broker office located in Marina Square in the Denver Tech Center.  This is such a great office. This afternoon I had lunch at the Bonefish Grill.  Normally I do not make a habit of visiting chain restaurants, but, I think that I will make an exception for the Bonefish Grill.  First of all, I like the fact that Bonefish Grill puts an emphasis on supporting fishing regulations that promote the sustainability of fish species.  I have been a SCUBA diver for over 30 years, and while I enjoy eating fish, I detest the decline of natural habitat in our oceans which I have personally witnessed.  I like that the Bonefish Grill recognizes the importance of this issue and opporates in a fashion that respects that.  Secondly, when I order a specific type of fish, I WANT that fish, not a stand-in.  Bonefish Grill has instituted a program that authenticates fish species through random DNA testin... 12/16/2010
