~ 31 Days of December Challenge - Day 16 ~  Today was the Aurora Association of REALTORS(R) Holiday Luncheon.  I served on the committee.  This was the 19th year that I have served on this committee.  (WOW!  Have I been selling real estate for that long?!)  I have chaired this event twice.  Thanks to Patty Clark for taking on that challenge again, and doing a terrific job!  What I like about this event is that we are able to relax, put our feet up, so to speak, and just enjoy the afternoon.  It's a chance to speak with some folks we aren't always able to talk to, such as lenders, inspectors, stagers, carpet contractors and more.  And this year the food was exceptional!  It was held at the Heritage Eagle Bend Clubhouse in Aurora.  The restaurant is opened to the public and they serve a w...

~ That is What I Call One Stop Shopping - But No Thanks ~   Today I was shopping at my local Aurora WalMart store in the Southlands Shopping Center.  At the front of the store between the two entrances, they have "convenient type shopping stores".  There is a bank, a nail salon, a McDonald's, an eye care location a hair salon and now I have seen it all.   Back in January, I  remember reading a post by Clint Miller regarding this same scenario.  I thought, "How absurd!"  And yet it has actually happened here in the Denver area. Closed Nov 18th, 18983 E. Oregon Drive, Aurora, CO We closed on this home last week.  The buyer is the future daughter in law of some past clients of mine.  Her and her future husband are excited to get to work on this house.  It needs lots and lots of work but it was a great deal.  It was a bank owned, previous foreclosure home.  The previous owners were not happy to lost their home and took it out on the walls and everything else.  The buyer got a FHA 203k loan so they will have money to fix up the house. Her dad helped her out by co-signing for the house. I can not wait to see the transformation once they get it all done.

Southshore in Aurora Colorado – Pulte Huntington   Pulte Homes has some great homes in Southshore which is in Aurora Colorado just south of the Aurora Reservoir.    They have model homes at the Southshore location which I took time to go through today and snap some pictures.    The Huntington model is very nice.  It is a Two Story with 3,752 square feet and has 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.  There is also a den upstairs which can be converted into a 5th bedroom if desired.
