The Whittier Cultural Arts Foundation has done it again - come up with a great Whittier event, that is. The first annual "The W Art Exhibit" is planned for November 19 & 20, 2010, and its focus will be on print (includes paintings, drawings, prints and photography) and sculpture artists. The Whittier Cultural Arts Foundation is currently looking for 20 Artists who would like to participate in this great exhibit, which promises to become the most influential art exhibit in the Whittier community. The exhibit fee will be $100 per artist, a tax deductible donation, and will guarantee the artist a 8ft x 8ft exhibit space, 50 invitations, plus being mentioned on all related marketing materials. Following last week's trend, we are seeing another very slight decrease in active Whittier Home and Condo listings. The total amount of Whittier Home and Condo listings is currently at 466, down 3 from last week's 469*. The number of active Whittier Condos went up 2, from 55 to 57. September is over and the latest Whittier Residential Real Estate Sales numbers are in: 99 total sales (88 Whittier Homes and 11 Whittier Condos)*. Whittier home sales have been decreasing for the past five months, however, the decrease from August to September was only a slight one, just four properties difference, from 103 in August to 99 in September (the most drastic, and significant, decline was from 130 sales in June to only 106 sales in July - a month that historically is one of major Real Estate selling months). Over the past three weeks Whittier Active Residential Property Listings (including Whittier Homes as well as Whittier Condos) have increased from 391 on 09/13/10, to 400 on 09/20/10, to 414 on 09/27/10.
