"Drop n' Flop" in Westlake Village on a Hot Hot Summer's Day! So, I have this listing that's in escrow which is going to close in 2 weeks. For those of you who missed being here in person, Westlake Village was a happening place this morning for the Amgen "Tour of California" finale! WOW! The hubbie and I and the three pups hiked the 1 1/4 miles from our house overlooking the lake at Westlake Village to the hub of the festivities. There were 20,000 people yet it was easy and fun. We watched the cyclists take off at 8:45 from the starting line. There they made three HARD loops through Westlake, through the Santa Monica mountains on Mulholland Rd, up the grade called "Rock Store" (my hubbie bikes and he says it super challenging) continued on Mulholland highway across Kanan to Decker Canyon back to Westlake Blvd. They were really whizzing by super fast. What a wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon in sunny Westlake Village, California. Yesterday was the Westlake Village Garden Club show, and touring the gardens of some very special homes here in the Conejo Valley of Southern California was a great way to spend the day! The homes are located in Westlake Village, Thousand Oaks and Newbury Park, CA. Although all five home's gardens were beautiful, one of the homes really stood out as extra-exeptional to me! 2014 First Quarter Market Report for theSouthshore Hills Tract in Thousand Oaks and Westlake Village, CA 2014 in Southshore Hills, compared to 2013 The first quarter in 2014 has produced two active listings and twos  pending sales in the Southshore Hills tract of homes, located in Westlake Village, CA. Last year, just 10 homes sold, 4 of which were distressed sales. So far this year, we have two pending sales, and two active listings, none of which are distressed sales. The median price of  homes listed in the first quarter of 2014 was $961,750 compared to $839,000 in 2013.
