Satchmo our dog has been having a good time living in  our home....Diane on the other hand was worried that he does not have any dog friends outside of Momo around the block... so she decided to go to the Lange Foundation and take out one of the dogs who has not been adopted yet...just so Satchmo could have a visitor. So here is Lala visiting Satchmo in our back yard....evidently things went well and all is back to normal. Did you know that Palm Trees get Haircuts too?Having relocated from the East Coast, being a transplanted Los Angeles aka Angelino, I had many misconceptions. One of them being that Palm Trees are generic to California and specifically Los Angeles. After all, I have seen many movies of Sunset Blvd as well as movies of Beverly Hills. So I did not need to be confused with facts.Well the reality is that Palm Trees are imported to California and Los Angeles. Different things you notice when you walk your dog! Westcherster, CA 90045! I always enjoy seeing the neighborhood and what the different home owners do with their front yards. I also notice the flowers as well as the trees. Some people have colorful flowers others just have trees.Well since I am always in the kitchen it did not take much to notice this tree:). In case you do not know what it is. It is an Avocado Tree, unfortunatly it requires a lot of water and this year it we had little of it. Traffic in Los Angeles: on the road heading home from Pasadena. Look what greeted us. Keep in mind Pasadena is less than 20 miles from our home. If traffic was moving the way it should have it would be a 25-30 minute drive. Today on the way home, we were going top speed four miles per hour. At that rate it would have taken us about three hours to get home. So I decided to take the first opportunity and get off the Wilshire Blvd Exit and maneuvered my way home. Keep in mind from Restoration Hardware on Colorado Blvd to get home to Westchester turned into an hour and a half ride. Check out the Black Sign with the yellow writting:)   Keep in mind our animals or on a regular schedule to eat virtually every evening. I have never used the expression, since I am a believer what you put out to the universe you get back. Hence I do not want this feeling of being tired.   Home introduction of a dog  to a household with cats has its challenges. Keeping in mind that our Dog is a Senior Citizen who thinks he is still a puppie and can chase cats:). We have three cats each with different personalities and they are all of different age groups. Hence we have been moving very slowly. One of my friends has called me and Diane  "pet farmers" we have the three cats and a stray wants to come in as we are in the middle of introducing our dog to the cats....not an easy task. Most importantly it has to be done nice and slow so no one gets too stressed out. Did you know Westchester, CA  90045 has a Little Free Library?   Well if you happened to take a walk in your neighborhood in Westchester, CA 90045 and you did more than text, read your emails, you might have noticed that one of the home owners in Westchester, CA decided to create a free Little Library. If you look at the pictures you will see that you actually have to register and then you can participate. Clearly I find this as a great concept. It also sends a nice message that it is a safe and caring neighborhood.
