Torrance South Bay Market - Feb '24Torrance and Greater South Bay market is showing signs of recovery with rising home prices as well as sales. It is still a seller's market due to the very low inventory.  Home sales rose in most categories and property types, the prices are higher when compared to a year ago. The buyer demand was lower than in the previous year due to higher mortgage interest rates and very low inventory of homes available for sale. It was back to normal for home sales after a brief slowdown due to a lack of homes for sale in the earlier months of 2022.  March, however, was a big month for home sales in the gated communities of Plaza Del Amo in Central Torrance.  There were 10 closed home, townhome and condo sales in Plaza Del Amo in March.   Of the 9 one was in the 55+ Tradewinds building, 2 in Springwood, 1 in Windemere, 1 in Chatelaine, 1 in Hickory Park, 1 in South Bayport, 1 in The Breakers and 1 in Belmar.  Take a look below. Simply put, September was a HUGE month for home sales in the city of Torrance CA.
