Capitola Begonia Festival

Every year for Labor Day weekend the Begonia Festival is held in Capitola. The Begonia Festival began in 1952 and is now celebrating its 63rd year in existence, a long history is at the center of the festival. The festival features an array of fun family friendly activities. Some of the events held this weekend include a sand sculpture contest, fishing derby and the pinnacle event, the float parade. The float parade will feature dozens of floats decked out in their finest begonia attire. Watch as teams race to put the finishing touches on their floats to make it in time for the parade.
