It is possible I might not have time to post blogs for about a week or so, after this blog, that is. It all sorta depends on how things go in Mexico and how much time I have because my clients come first. The rest of you can all yammer about how your family comes first, but my family comes first by putting my clients first. Why do I feel like I'm moving into Portlandia territory,  Women and Women First, ha, ha. I finally saw the episode of how that phrase supposedly originated. The point is WiFi is a precious commodity when it works well in certain countries, and I won't have all the time in the world to be online when my main purpose for being in Mexico is to visit with the Monarch butterflies. So the little time I do have on the computer will probably be spent communicating with my cli...

Whenever I list a fixer home in Sacramento, whether it's a fixer home in Wilhaggin or a home sold for lot value in south Sac, I get the same response from buyer's agents when I ask for feedback. They can't help themselves. It doesn't matter what kind of condition the home is in, either. It could be a place that simply needs new kitchen counters and paint or it could be a complete tear-down. Can you not look past the "work" and he...

FAQ – Does it look bad? How bad is it going to be?   When I get a call to come look at water damaged and dry rot repair, one of the first questions that I get asked is “How bad does it look?” Usually this question happen as soon as I see the area of repair, they are looking for my initial opinion. I’ve done this sort of repair for some time now; I probably could make an educated guess.   I can look at many different damaged areas and feel pretty confident in what the problem is and possibly the extent of repair. I will share this information with the client just to give them an early diagnosis but certainly tell them that it will need to be opened up and checked out.   It is important that I give an honest and accurate reply to the question, so I really can’t give a valid answer until...
