Palos Verdes homes sales in the Country Club neighborhood for the first half of 2017 increased to 10 single family homes sold in 2017 compated to 9 sold in 2016.  Price per square foot for Country Club homes that sold in the first half of 2017 increased to $585 compared to $557 in 2016 a 4.9% decrease.  Average sales price for Country Club homes sold in the first half of 2017 decreased to $1,844,700 in 2017 compared to $1,857,444 in 2016.  The most expensive Palos Verdes home sale in the Country Club neighborhood was $2,475,000 and the lowest priced Palos Verdes home sale in the Country Club neighborhood was $1,222,000. Recently, an article in Housing Newsletters caught my eye when it was discussing the reasons that housing has room to run. The Palos Verdes Half Marathon and 10K and 5K run will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2017.  The Palos Verdes Marathon, which is part of the Lexus LacedUp Running Series, is being presented by Saucony.  Lexus is underwriting the costs of the event and will contribute funds raised to Kiwanis Club for their many scholarship programs. The average number of sales per month over the last 3 months of 18 units per month is up approx. 34% compared to a year ago however. Summary: The number of homes listed for sale on the Palos Verdes Peninsula has decreased to seasonal levels, but the number of homes on the market at the end of September is down 13%, but the number of homes sold during the last three months is up 21% compared to the prior year, resulting in unsold inventory of under 3 months supply.
