The nonprofit PV Seniors was started in 1982 and is self supporting, not a department of any of the four cities on the Peninsula or any other public agency. but is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors.Every month they offer a calendar of events for our seniors to enjoy from Exercise Classes, Writers Groups, Mah Jong, Yoga, Spanish Class, Bingo, Ping Pong, trips and more. The Palos Verdes Beach and Athletic Club located in Palos Verdes Estates is once again offering their swim lesson program to both members and non-members at the PVBAC pool.  Lessons are provided for children of all levels and are capped at 1 instructor per 6 students.  This is not for recreational swimming, but for the specific lesson/program being offered.  For a Palos Verdes Estates resident, a non-member session is $180.  The program does fill up quickly so it’s important to enroll now if you are a member, otherwise non-member sign ups will start on Monday, April 30, 2018, for Palos Verdes residents.  If classes are still available on May 11, 2018, non residents may apply at a fee session of $200.  You should print the program brochure and have registration & waiver forms filled out/...

2017 Palos Verdes homes sales for the Rolling Hills neighborhood decreased to 19 single family homes sold compared to 21 in 2016.   Price per square foot for Rolling Hills houses that sold in the first half of 2017 increased to $801 from $800 in 2016, a 0.1% decrease.  Average sale price for Rolling Hills homes sold in 2017 was $3,181,658 compared to $3,509,490 in 2016.  The most expensive home sold for $6,200,000 and the lowest priced home sold for $1,319,000. The Palos Verdes Market Data Report for the 1st quarter of 2018 shows a total of 140 homes closed escrow, compared to 133 homes that sold in the first three months of 2017. The average price for Palos Verdes homes sold in these three months was $1,755,771 compared to $1,797,913 in 2017, which is a -2.3% decrease. The average price per square foot during these three months was $653 compared to $633 in 2017, which is a 3.2% increase.The area that sold the most homes during this time was Palos Verdes Drive North with a total of 17. The average number of sales per month over the last 3 months of 10 units per month down approx. 24% compared to a year ago however.
