Palos Verdes residents who are interested in helping to grow their children’s basketball skills may know that the season is ready to begin.  Registration is now open for the PVBA Winter 2018 – 2019 season.  Kindergarten, 1st grade boys and 2nd grade boys will play on lower age appropriate 8 foot baskets.  Each team will have 8 players and they will play locally inside the Peninsula High School Field House Gym basketball court.  The games will usually be played on Saturday afternoons.  This is a game where everyone plays, with no standings, try outs or play offs.  3rd through 8th grade boys teams and 2nd through 8th grade girls teams will begin on December 1, 2018.   Tryouts are held in the beginning of October.  The last game before Winter Break will be played on December 22, 2018, then... 11/14/2018

The Palos Verdes Half Marathon and 10K and 5K run will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2018.  The Palos Verdes Marathon, which is part of the Lexus LaceUp Running Series, is being presented by Saucony.  Lexus is underwriting the costs of the event and will contribute funds raised to Kiwanis Club for their many scholarship programs.
