Throwback ThursdayHalloween Parade Dog in Oakland CA 2015  I was in Oakland for Halloween 2015, across the bay from San Francisco, visiting my daughter and her husband and helping them with their move to LA (I drove the U-Haul truck).  We took some time to go to the Halloween Parade on Piedmont Avenue a few blocks away on the 31st which was great fun. Lots of adults and kids participated (the street is closed down for blocks) and there were abundant fun costumes. I thought this dog was pretty cute.

Both kitchens have modern appliances and a nearby breakfast nook; the renovated lower kitchen has quartz counters, a gas range and custom cabinetry. Two laundry rooms, an expansive private deck and an unfinished basement add to the appeal. Stroll the sidewalks to Shakewell and Arizmendi, take a fun bike ride to Lake Merritt or ...

I created a space to work from home Now that I just did my hardwood floors here are my top three tips: Tip number 1Once you decide which vendor to use, have them drop off the wood at your house so it can cure in your home and get used to the temperature of your space before they install it.  Tip number 2Make sure to tape plastic to your doors entering the space. It is not just for the dust but for the smell! This one simple step might be the difference between having to move out while the work is being done and being able to sleep in your home at night.  Tip number 3You should not walk on the space for the first 3 days. After 7 days you can put furniture in the room. That gives you time to shop online and replace any furniture that do not fit your needs before. One person's junk is anot...

Looking for a way to give back? This is a good time for you to log in to Linkedin and review your favorite vendors - don't limit it to restaurants. Why not include your optometrist, doctors, lawyers, etc. and when life gets back to normal, they will see all your wonderful reviews and will reciprocate which then creates a domino effect and they will leave good reviews as well to their clients or their favorite vendors, and the cycle goes on. Let me know your thoughts!
