Hiking El Toro in Morgan Hill California Hiking El Toro mountain in Morgan Hill can be a challenge especially near the top where the trail gets pretty steep. Boy scouts cut out some steps and added a rope near the top to help hikers "concur" the peak which is 1420.3 feet high. One can access the trail head at the end of West Dunn Avenue or through the parking lot of West Hills Church. Access to the trailhead is through private property so stay on the trail and be respectful of the residents. We hike El Toro because of the challenging and relatively short hike that offers spectacular views. Make sure you bring water and wear the right shoes (with good thread) because the trail is steep and has plenty of loose rock.
