The real estate market in Monterey is looking good. Prices have risen since this same time last year. In most parts of the country, inventory is low, buyers are ready, and multiple offers are commonplace. Monterey California has many neighborhoods, each with it's own personality. There are golf course homes, homes on the water, Old Monterey, New Monterey, Fisherman's Flats to name a few. Each of these neighborhoods have different price points, and are quite different. Even though Monterey is a small town, there are many different lifestyles to choose from in different neighborhoods. I did an analysis of home prices from July 1-September 30, 2011 vs July 1-September 30, 2012. Here are the results: In Monterey California July-Sept 2011: Average list price was $536,236 with the average sol...

Beating Burnout, Pressure & Frustration! You don't have to tell a single person in this business that it's a very difficult and challenging niche to be in. We all understand this! My story is similar to many others in that when I got into the BPO business, six years ago in September of 2006, I was 'bright-eyed, bushy-tailed and ready to take on the world' so to speak. For me, it was the absolute perfect time to become a BPO Agent. In the beginning, I walked around with stars in my eyes and I was filled with excitement about all of the possibilities that being a BPO agent could bring. Looking back now I see how naive I was and how I grossly underestimated what lay ahead for me. I simply didn't make time for or see how critical it was to have a plan in place to help guide me. And since n...

- Allegiant Airlines, which begins to serve Honolulu this summer, adds another city to its pending Hawaii route network - Monterey, California!   It is so great to have the option of flying right from home.  While Monterey Peninsula Airport was once a busy terminal, over the years, the flights became less and less available, with prices being prohibitive for most.  The Monterey Peninsula Airport District has worked hard to make the airport alive and not only help residents travel, but help visitors arrive right in style at our back door.  I have talked to many colleagues and friends and we are very happy that we have the ability to fly to popular destinations right from home and not have to travel 2 hours to San Francisco or San Jose.  Monterey Regional Airport is easy to access, and is...

I recently received this email from one of our past clients asking about the market around their home (Monterey Salinas Hwy off San Benancio Rd.).  I thought it would be great to include their her email and my response here:     Sent: Friday, April 13, 2012 11:04 AM To: Bruno, Mark Subject: San Benancio Homes not selling...   Hi Mark:   Can you explain why homes are not selling on San Benancio? There are so many for sale.  I think one of the reasons is we are in Salinas High School District, plus so many people are getting old, who built up here in the 50's/60's, are not keeping their property "up to date".  I also notice the homes that are for sale are in the $500-600. Sad for us who take care of their property.   Hi to your Mom. Regards, Josephine       My respopnse to Josephine's ema...
