The real estate market in Monterey is looking good. Prices have risen since this same time last year. In most parts of the country, inventory is low, buyers are ready, and multiple offers are commonplace. Monterey California has many neighborhoods, each with it's own personality. There are golf course homes, homes on the water, Old Monterey, New Monterey, Fisherman's Flats to name a few. Each of these neighborhoods have different price points, and are quite different. Even though Monterey is a small town, there are many different lifestyles to choose from in different neighborhoods. I did an analysis of home prices from July 1-September 30, 2011 vs July 1-September 30, 2012.
