I'm Pleased With The Textured Wall  When on is said and done, it's the final appearance that can make or break customer satisfaction. No one want a bad patch after a successful plumbing repair. A good drywall patch can good a long way in keeping everyone happy with the project. This plumbing repair was done from the drywall side, it is in full view in the master bedroom. I was pleased with how it turned out, the owners will be doing their own painting.

If Those Deck Supports Aren't Even Touching, They Aren't Working To Steady The Deck.     The higher the deck is off the ground, the more lateral support it is going to need. This lateral support is used to prevent the deck from sliding from side to side. It may be minor at first but it will get worse. If these support are installed and they no longer touch, the deck will sway. This deck had several of these angled boards that no longer were in contact. You can see the gap in between, it was repeated throughout the deck framing. The sway may start out minor but the more it moves the more easily it will move in the future. This ultimately make the deck less safe in the future. Contact a general contractor familiar with deck framing for help.

The good news is that the home is cleared of all the personal belongings… The bad news is that it is all behind the garage!   When a home is owned by a distant bank, there is not a lot of eyes watching what is happening on the property. I wonder if the bank knows that all the personal belongings are hiding out back.

Time To Get Out And Enjoy Some Sunshine   Once the weather starts to turn to Spring, it seems that everyone wants to get out and enjoy the sunshine. While soaking in some rays myself, I noticed that I was not alone. I hope you get a chance to experience the change in weather soon.

I had the opportunity to stop by the river while driving home today. The American River is much higher than normal, but on the shores of Henningsen Lotus Park the waters are relatively calm. Experts do still warn that the waters are cold and very swift, so if you do venture into the water – Be Careful! The Henningsen Lotus Park is located in Lotus, CA on Lotus Road near Highway 49. There is a small entry fee per vehicle ($5 for a car) but there is plenty of space inside the park. Check out this County of El Dorado Page for more details. Here is a map of Henningsen Lotus Park   View Larger Map   Clear Waters on the American River in Lotus, CA at Henningsen Lotus Park.
