Your ceiling fan can be effectively used year-round. In the summer the blades should be forcing the air down; in the winter it is reversed and forces the air upward. There is usually a small switch to reverse the direction located on the housing. We see ceiling fans running virtually nonstop in many apartments. The problem with this is that you may not realize how much dust can accumulate on the blades and housing. It may be time to check and clean your ceiling fan. 05/21/2012

  It’s probably safer to stay in the plane.     I was coming back from Lodi today and saw the paraglide and parachute jumpers. I got a shot of them up high and watched them land in my rear view mirror. The landing area is very close to the freeway. I’m a contractor who doesn’t take a lot of risks, this is not something that interests me in the least. My friends tell me it is safe but I tell them, “It’s probably safer to stay in the plane.”     04/15/2012

    Every year about this time the City of Lodi, in San Joaquin County in the Central Valley of California, has a celebration of the return of the Sandhill Cranes.  These magnificent birds with their long legs and necks and their six to eight foot wing spans have been migrating to this area long before the City of Lodi even existed.    People come from all over to make their way to the wildlife refuges, wetlands and fields surrounding Lodi to catch a glimpse of the Sandhill Cranes.  These people come with sketch pads to draw these spectacular cranes, cameras with long lenses to capture that one picture that, for them, will sum up the entire experience or binoculars to get a good close up view of the cranes.  The Sandhill Cranes will mesmerize everyone with their wings spread wide in maj... 11/01/2011

Stockton CA – The Stop Foreclosure Institute recently received a question from another agent. Apparently they were being mislead on a short sale by a large national lender. I’ve lived in and around Lodi, CA for a very long time and it’s not too often that we have a lot of options when it comes to shopping. Oh, we have our much loved Kohl’s, Target, and Wal-Mart, but just shy of venturing out to the malls in Stockton, Modesto or Sacramento, sometimes I’d like a little variety. Well here it comes in the form of a brand new Costco being built in the Reynolds Ranch area of Lodi at the corner of Harney Ln and Hwy 99 Frontage Rd. I’ve even heard that there may be a Best Buy and/or a Home Depot to join in on the same center location.  I don’t need the Home Depot, but a Best Buy would surely be fun!
