I think the MSN real estate section is a great source for information for home sellers and buyers. I especially liked their article about next door neighbors home conditions and how to stage your house. These two problems have come up with homes I have listed in the past. If you have a neighbor who's home is detracting from yours these are my suggestions.If you are on talking terms with neighbor  talk or if it is a mostly vacant home  write to them about the fact you are selling your home. Do not stress their homes problems. Talk about how it is very important for you to sell your house quickly. Tell them the reasons you are selling.           Optimism for the real estate market in the Lake Arrowhead Area and its Villages of Running Springs, Crestline/ Lake Gregory.   The last few weeks have been busy with many requests for slide shows and additional photos of cabins.Clients have been calling asking about where to stay and asking us to reserve time to help them explore our area.  Winter in our mountains can be a challenge to show homes. On April 22, 2008 the Board of Directors will hold a public hearing to discuss a proposed ordinance that among other things will restrict the installation of any new landscape that uses district water for irrigation purposes.  During my tenure as a Board member, there were many discussions regarding the need for more stringent restrictions on the use of water for irrigation purposes.  I always attempted to bring an elemet of balance moderation to that discussion.  It appears that the current board is considering taking an extreme approach.  I understand clearly the need to use our resources in a responsible manner, but to pass an ordinance that says "zero" use for new outdoor irrigatiion in my opinion is inappropriate.  I would recommend that the Board reject the current proposed ordina...

Arrowhead Lake Association is the organization that protect the lake for its members and support its use for recreation. There is a general membership fee of $60- a year. The members of the ALA are the homeowners who live within a certain defined boundary area around the lake in the area known as arrowhead woods. The homes in this area in my opinion are good investments. This has always been a very desirable area to live in and to visit.From the past residents of the woods like Bugsy Siegel  to todays Beach Boy, famous tennis star and many others the "woods" is a great place to live and visit. This weekend I went down the hill to a spiritual, holistic, what some people call "woo woo" festival. It was interesting. I was there raising funds for a no kill animal shelter and also trying to recruit volunteers. I had created photos of needy dogs and cats available for adoption. ----One rescue that happened recently was very moving. Photos showed before and after photos. These two dogs had just been dumped in someones back yard. In really terrible condition. Our organization worked on having their medical needs and restored peace to them. They sure look and act wonderful now. ------I don't know if it was the patrons of this event were more caring, giving or feeling but my donation jar was overflowing. Lake Arrowhead this morning....GORGEOUS!  What a morning here at the lake.  8 AM and the temp is already at 68 degrees, perfect to get out and get in a morning run.  I headed to the Lake Arrowhead Village this morning and snap a few pictures.  The Resort was looking a little slow this morning, the weekend visitors have since gone and the lake is waking up for the day and these are the days I love.  It is a bit selfish, but I love having the town to myself, in a sense.The shops in the Village will be open in a couple hours and an afternoon lunch on some terrace would be a perfect day to have lunch on the terrace at the Lake Arrowhead Resort.
