The Insider's Guide to Lake Arrowhead Neighborhoods: Arrowhead Woods vs. The OutskirtsBy Jason Crawford | Crawford Realty Group | Living in Lake ArrowheadEvery morning at sunrise we walk into the gym located right here in the Lake Arrowhead VillageAnd every single morning, the walk from the parking lot to the gym is the best part of my day.The Village is quiet at that hour. The lake is right there. The pines are still. Nobody is rushing anywhere. It is just the mountain doing its thing before the rest of the world wakes up.I tell you that because it matters for what I am about to explain. When buyers ask me about Lake Arrowhead real estate, most of them think they are asking about one place. One market. One community. They are not.Where you buy on this mountain changes everything. The lif...

I Live in Lake Arrowhead Full-Time. Here Is What Nobody Tells You. By Jason Crawford | Crawford Realty Group | Living in Lake Arrowhead People ask me this question more than almost any other. Can you actually live up there full time? I do. So let me tell you what it is actually like. Something Shifts When You Get Up Here There is a specific moment that happens to most people when they spend real time up here. They stop thinking about going back. Not because the mountain is perfect. But because something shifts. The pace changes. The noise drops. And you start asking a different question. Not can I live here but why am I not living here. Every weekend Marisol and I go to the same coffee shop. Same time. Same day. We walk in and they already know which booth we like. They greet us with a...

Not a franchise. Not a place that exists on every corner of Southern California. A genuine mountain institution tucked into the community of Skyforest on Highway 18, about five miles from Lake Arrowhead Village, that has been doing one thing exceptionally well for decades.Making really, really good pizza.I live up here. What Every Buyer Must Know Before Making an OfferBy Jason Crawford | Crawford Realty Group | Living in Lake Arrowhead (YouTube)If you are thinking about buying a property in the Lake Arrowhead area and the lake matters to you, this is the most important article you will read before you make an offer.I am a California real estate broker and a Lake Arrowhead local. And the single most misunderstood topic I encounter with every buyer who comes to this market is lake rights. Not price. Not HOA. Not commute. Lake rights.Buyers fall in love with a property. They see Lake Arrowhead in the address. They assume they get access to the lake. And then someone tells them the property does not have lake rights and the deal falls apart, the disappointment sets in, and they wish someone had told them t...

What's it like living in Lake Arrowhead?I live in Lake Arrowhead. And the thing I tell every friend who asks me about it over dinner is this, you are completely off the grind, living at a pace that actually feels human, and yet everything you could ever want or need is closer than you think.Victoria Gardens and all its shops? 45 minutes. World class medical facilities in Loma Linda? Minutes away. Pasadena on a weekend morning with zero traffic? One hour. San Diego? 90 minutes with the windows down and nothing but mountain road between you and the coast. You are not giving up convenience when you move to Lake Arrowhead. You are trading the illusion of convenience, the kind that comes with two hours of daily commuting and zero peace of mind, for something far more valuable.A life that is p...

Mountain Living Is Different And That’s Exactly Why People Love ItThere’s something special about waking up in the mountains.Maybe it’s the quiet mornings. Maybe it’s the smell of pine trees after fresh snowfall. Maybe it’s watching the fog roll across the ridgelines with a cup of coffee in your hand while the rest of Southern California fights traffic below. For many people, moving to Lake Arrowhead and the surrounding mountain communities represents more than a real estate purchase. It represents a lifestyle change.People move here for peace. For nature. For space. For slower mornings and cooler evenings. For family memories around fireplaces and lake days. But here’s something many buyers discover quickly:Mountain real estate is completely different from buying a home in the city. And that’...

I know it's Wordless Wednesday and this photo speaks all for itself, but how amazing that we can live in such beautiful places and sometimes take it for granted. With so much going on in the world from COVID to Politics we seem to be noticing less and less the beauty around us and all that we truly have to be thankful for. It's no wonder we often see the light at the end of the tunnel as the train coming to get us. Nature is so peaceful and so calming. How often do you get to sit with it? How often do you make time for it? Many are stuck in front of TV screens, computer monitors and cell phones. We sit there like something is going to change and in some ways it does. But, the only real thing that changes is our mindset and how we start to look at the world or the things around us becaus...

The Lake Arrowhead Real Estate market is hot. There seems to be more buyers than sellers, but when homes are listed at the right price and the house is marketed correctly, you attract the right buyers for the sale. Not every marketing strategy is right for every house being sold. A lot of factors go into the who, what, when and where's of marketing a home. From price to location. This is why you want and need an experienced, licensed Realtor working for you.  This home went pending in 18 days. Why? Because it was priced right it's features were marketed and it was marketed to the right buyers. If you want to sell your home, give me a call. No hassle, no obligation and no fuss. Let's talk about how we can market your home and the best price for getting the home sold like I have this one ...

I see some of the coolest things in my travels but the wildlife is one of my favorites. Here is Mommy and baby deer ( little old Bambi :) ) just out for a stroll in the gorgeous weather! Some cool facts that I learned about deer ( because I love to google stuff ) is that the first deer was found about 4 million years ago. Wait, what? Yep. Scientist believe that deer once inhabited bitter-cold regions around the artic circle.Deer are also the only animal that has antlers and they are the fastest growing living tissue on earth. Antlers are mainly on male deer however, other species like the caribou, the females can also have antlers. Another fun fact....The caribou (aka reindeer) have been domesticated! Who wouldn't love to have a reindeer as a pet?

This year the fall trends are full of style and they may be worth taking a look at especially if you are selling your house time of year. It doesn't matter if you live in the mountains of California or the desert of Arizona, these fall trends will make any living space trendy! The colors are neutral and pair well with this just about any style or color you currently have in your home. There is lots of texturing and layering and rattan accents as well. Knit pillow covers in burlap, plaid, rust and gray colors are really popular this year. I know it's an odd title and even more of an odd question. But, I am addressing this because I've had a lot of first time home-buyers make statements like " I've been renting for years, why is it so hard to get a mortgage when I've been paying for years" or a statement like " It's like jumping through hoops to get a mortgage. I've been paying rent, isn't it the same thing?". Actually, no it's not. It isn't the same at all. In fact renting a home is very different than owning a home. Here is why.  First, when you are renting you are paying someone Else's mortgage and/or providing a second income or savings for the homeowner in the event there home is paid for. Regardless of whether you pay rent or not, the homeowner still has an obligation to his mortgage, taxes, insurance and repairs. W...

One of the best parts of being a Realtor is making dreams come true. Every time a home is sold or purchased that's exactly what we do. We allow others to complete chapters in their lives and create new ones. Whether you're a seasoned seller or buyer or first time home-buyer, I value every person I work with because every persons story is different. I love to hear them all and be a part of your journey no matter what that journey may be.   If you are looking to sell your home, upgrade or downgrade or are looking to purchase a cabin on the mountain or a modern home on the water, I would love to be a part of your journey. Whatever your story is or whatever new chapter you're about to start, I will help you every step of the way and be there long after our business transaction is over. I'm ...

We are still learning a lot about Prescott, AZ, but the journey has been amazing. The night sky is absolutely beautiful, in fact, picture perfect. Prescott, AZ living is surely different than what I am accustom to on the mountain in Lake Arrowhead, but the beauty is impeccable. While both areas are beautiful in their own way, you really cannot compare the two because they are each so unique.  I love strolling through downtown Prescott and seeing all of the monuments and statues that do not seem to be a rarity around here. In fact, everywhere I go there seems to be some sort of statue that represents its rich town history or a statue that pays tribute to Veteran's or Wars. They are each mighty in their beauty and a true testament to the pride that Prescott takes in remembrance and honor....

I saw this today and it really hit home. Today is the eve of 911 and at this very moment there are parents reading their children bedtime stories. There are husbands and wives rushing to complete last minute packing. Somewhere there is a firefighter hoping for a decent night sleep on a cot somewhere in the firehouse and there is a hospital praying for a slow night. This is life as many of us know it. We go about our day and our nights like we will get a thousand more never once stopping to think it could very well be our last. Who thinks like that anyway? I know all about how we are suppose to live for today, seizing moments and being thankful for the day and not worrying about tomorrow because mostly tomorrow is out of our control, but.....This poem says it all. None of us knew what 9-...
