California Housing Finance Agency also known as Calfha received 700 Million in federal funding through the Us Teassury Housing Finance Agency to keep Your Home Initiative, a 240 Million program that will target low and moderate income households struggling with their mortgages. They will provide qualified homeowners up to $ 50,000, to qualify for the assistance, a family must earn less than $ 68,000 annualy, be delinquent on their mortgage or in imminent danger of defaulting, but have adequate income to continue paying the mortgage after receiving the Calhfa assistance.  The "Keep Your Home Initiative" is not intended to assist those who refinanced and took cash out. it is anticipated that the program will help 40,000 Californians on a first come, first serve basis, starting with the ha... 08/15/2010
