I was raised having the privilege of enjoying an abundance of some of the most fragile, yet, hands down, the best avocados ever at my parent's home in Sunnyvale CA. All that is gone now, and I have been searching for that rich tasting, thin-skinned avocado I grew up with ever since. However, the avocados I uncovered time and again during my search were never the variety we think is called the Zutano or Fuerte Avocado. Sadly, I was never sure of the variety because my parents weren't sure either. It seemed hopeless, and that those tasteful memories would never return.    Both my parents, especially my dad being from Mexico, loved avocados, so it explains why we had two giant avocado trees.   Just recently, I had amazing upturn of events. Glenmoor Elementary School, a 2012 recognized California Distinguished School by CA Department of Education, in Fremont has an outstanding musical theater company called Glenmoor Musical Theater (GMT). The GMT has been around for many years and has performed musicals that outperform many would be expectations.  These must see performances are made possible in part to the tireless work of Mrs. Smith, Kindergarten teacher and head of the Glenmoor Musical Theater.   Parents of the performers must also volunteer their skills in order to make it all work however. Homes for sale in Glenmoor are showing changes in pricing, and this area has always been one of the most desired places to live in Fremont CA that have home values from 500k up to over 1 million. I like the area too, but I happen to live in the Parkmont area of Fremont. Glenmoor homes for sale have also felt the effect of the price drop. Homes sales since 2007 have dropped on average of 35%. Some areas only fell 30%. That would be Glenmoor. But recently there has been an increase of about 5% take a look at this chart. It's hard to see, but it shows that over the last 180 days, home prices in Glenmoor increased by about 5%.Other areas hit by the 30% instead of 35% are:ParkmontNilesMission San JoseIndian HillsThey are recovering at the moment. Fremont Proposal targets monster homes   the city councill will be voting on a ban to developing "monster homes on Tuesday at 7pm at City Hall. Homes with predominantly single story homes will have the chance to block construction of two-story homes adn additions for as long as 7 years. This is a big issue for the Glenmoor and Mission Ranch community, where existing owners want to preserve the look and feel of their neighborhood. 09/22/2008
