Don't Forget to ReKey Your New Home   Did you get a new home in Fontana this year for Christmas?  If the answer is yes, then Congratulations!!! Hopefully, you are starting to win the battle against what seems to be the never ending stack of boxes and you’re close to settling into your new home.  Before you settle all the way in, don’t forget to add having your locks rekeyed to your “to do” list.  A lot of Buyers overlook this but you have to remember how many people have had access to your house keys before your Escrow closed.   Yes, the Sellers were nice people, but what about their housekeeper?  All the Agents that showed all those prospective Buyers?  All the repairmen?  I'm not trying to freak you out, but you know we don’t live in a world that's comprised of only nice people. For y...

Simplifying is all about having enough without having too much—cutting back on unnecessary spending, slowing down, and FOCUSING on your true priorities. Some Practical Organizing Tips 1. Take a look at your life. Where do you see EXCESS around you? Is your life cluttered with things you don't need or use? Is your schedule so full that you have no free time for yourself? These are a few good places to begin purging and simplifying. 2. Simplify ONE area of your life—your job, your home, your spending—at a time. If you do too much at once, you will just get overwhelmed. Tackle the biggest thorn in your side first, then move on to the next biggest pain in...

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year We wish you a very Merry Christmas and a 2012 New Year filled with peace and prosperity! It's important to remember, the most precious and valuable gifts around any Christmas tree are not the gifts purchased at the shopping mall. These gifts are the presence of family and true friends sharing the blessing of being together and enjoying each other.

Success is when you feel at ease with yourself, when you earn enough doing a job you love to sleep well at night, and when your close relationships are great. Success is when you are a positive influence on those around you. When you can deal with adversity and plan for the future. Success is also knowing that you are firing on all four cylinders, that you have achieved self-control, that you can make yourself do the things you need to do when you need to do them. A successful person is a great time manager, each day having a sense of purpose, each day having goals and structure whether that be for work or leisure. Success isn't all about money!

Short Sale Myths Banks are Not Accepting Short Sales; They are Waiting on a Bailout Funds. Banks, along with our government are attempting do anything they can within reason to avoid foreclosing on properties, including short sales. Our government has even begun hosting seminars for Real Estate Professionals to educate them on the advantages of pursuing short sales. Bank Would Rather Foreclose than allow a Short Sale. The average cost of foreclosure to the bank is much more than you might think. Consider legal fees, staffing, REO resources, repairs, title and escrow costs and of course the current value of the home minus what is owed. In a declining market, banks realize they can save thousands by working with clients on short sales. There is not Enough Time to Negotiate a Short Sale Be...

Tip #1: Chat casually about the local real estate market. People always want to know how the market is doing and how much their home is worth. Call friends, family and acquaintances regularly just to bring them up-to-speed on recent listings, sales and market trends in their area. It’s the best way to discuss real estate without anyone feeling pressured. Tip #2: Offer information with no strings attached.  Offer friends and family regular real estate market updates for their neighborhoods, then create reports to follow-up. You’ll stay top of mind as a REALTOR® so that they think of you when they or someone they know is ready to buy or sell. Tip #3: Listen for life changes.  A new job, promotion, marriage, baby, retirement can trigger a move. Listen for these cues in conversations, and b...

The question is " Do I need an Assistant or Not "? At what point in my real estate career do I know if I need help or Not. I have been working solo for sometime now and have manage to get things done fine, but could I be more productive if I had someone else doing things for me. Those administrative tasks that sometimes get to be painful and time consuming.    I ask my self if I had someone else working for me, would I be satisfy with the way they get things done. Is it worth training someone and spending the time. I have had fellow agent hire an assistant, only to find out 3-4 months later that the person does not work out for them. What a pain!!   Are there key things to identify if I need help. As I sit here and work on things, my main question is - How and when should I start think...

The Most Important Short Sale Do’s and Don’ts | Short Sale Tips for Fontana CA Home Sellers Do educate yourself. This is THE most important thing you can do. Fontana CA Short sales can be complicated. You need every bit of information you can get when you jump into the short sale process. Don’t wait until it’s too late. If you drag your feet and hide from the fact that you’ve stopped making mortgage payments, it will cost your credit rating and it will put any chances of a Fontana short sale in risk. Do be diligent. There have been very closable Fontana California short sales that fail because the Fontana homeowners either stop responding to their agents, stop returning paperwork, stop returning phone calls, stop caring, etc. It can be a difficult process, but at the end of it you will ...

To most people, being more effective in business means being more successful. Write down the ways you might measure that success--sales revenues, net income, number of new clients, annual growth rate. Then choose the goals you'd like to achieve. To reach those goals, the experts believe it takes a mindset and an approach that you need to apply consistently. Here are the key ingredients of such an approach: 1. Start with the end in mind. Know what your goal is in every effort you undertake. Then keep that goal at the front of your thought from the very beginning. 2. Stay one step ahead. Some people call this being proactive. Just think of it as taking action. Successful people act more than they react. 3. First things first. You know the things that are of most value to you. Focus on tho...
