Tell The Truth, Do You Really Want To Come To A MeetUp?     It’s that time again, the MeetUps are happening all over the country. I love to see the beautiful faces smiling and having a good time on a personal level. The conversations tend to be about more than just business or blogging – and that is what makes it so special. There are many comments left stating that “I would love to go to one.” Why not go? Sure there are some legitimate reasons, but many times it just seems like an excuse. There are benefits in meeting those bloggers near you that go well beyond business. They tend to be an easy going setting with open conversation with people you may already know through ActiveRain. They are real people with real lives, why not meet them in real life? I was surprised at what I foun...

I didn't forget about the MeetUp, just been busy!     I love going to MeetUps in the Sacramento area, and have even been willing to host a few myself. I remember seeing Kerrie's post calling for those who would be hosting – I was getting around to it soon.   I saw the list come out – there were many on that list but I had not done anything to inform Kerrie. She's not a mind reader, I dropped the ball. But I was busy.   Of course the MeetUps are beginning soon and I'm still busy. I better set the date and time and location and hope I can still do this. I love meeting those members in the Sacramento area they are so much fun to hang out with.   Looking for accountability here....

I know why you are still getting water inside the building.       Looking at the siding, I can see that you have a problem and it may be the reason why the ceiling is leaking when it rains. Not all leaks are caused by a faulty roof, look at the big picture of the problem area. Over time siding can go bad and fall apart. This may be due to improper flashing, or paint preparation. If it is left uncorrected, it can lead to bigger problems. If water penetrates and getting inside the wall, it can appear to be a roof leak.

Folsom Short Sale SOLD by Agent Allan Sanchez  I wish I didn't have to say that I've been selling short sales in Folsom for the last 7 years.  I wish that the real estate market was DONE adjusting and that all my clients had equity in their homes. The reality is that MANY do not and changes in life happen and they just HAVE to move.  Job transfer, job loss, expanding families, and health issues paired with the current real estate values are some of the reasons why Folsom short sales are still very much alive. Take a look at my latest Folsom short sale sold.  4403 Esplanade Circle is a cute condo in the popular Esplanade area.  With 2 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, and 1501 square feet it's a great size for many but got a bit tight for the sellers with a growing family.  It was however, perfect fo...

The crazy stuff that happens in real estate is enough to make a Sacramento real estate agent's hair curl, unless of course one is on vacation in Hawaii. While I am sitting on our wrap-around balcony, typing on my laptop, my team member Barbara's phone rings. We are informed that the neighbor next door to a Folsom home we have in escrow went berserk last night and chopped down our buyer's door with an ax. Let me tell you, I am relieved that we are sitting outside on our balcony watching the waves roll in. We are certainly thinking clearly. At least the neighbor is in jail. The buyer still wants to close escrow. You can read more in my personal blog today about Working as a Sacramento Agent on Aloha Time.

I was called to find a plumbing leak in Folsom, I found a mystery.   Yes, I spend a lot of time looking for and fixing leaks in plumbing lines and drains. Being a contractor who specializes in water damage and dry rot repairs in the Sacramento area, I have seen many things go wrong when it comes to plumbing. Fixtures can get old, pipes can rust, pipes can break, or even clogs can all be happening in your home just waiting to be a problem soon. I received a call from a client who had water dripping from their master bathroom ceiling below the kitchen. The leak appeared to be located directly under the island sink in the kitchen. There was no signs of water under the sink, all of the water was below the floor. Although I did find the plumbing drain leak today, there were some things that...
