As condo complexes go, the Altura Villas on Halidon Way are pretty nice, built 10 years ago. I was amazed at how easy it was to find the unit I was looking for. The streets are clean. The landscaping is pretty, and the amenities at the HOA are very impressive. You've got your usual things like a pool and spa, but there is also a volleyball court!This is a rare 3 bedroom, 2 bath model. Lately, many two bedrooms have sold but the 3 bedroom units don't come on the market very often. The Rainbow Bridge near Old Historic Folsom will be closed this week for repairs.  It is likely to create traffic issues for those not aware. The bridge is often used by those seeking to cross the American River from Orangevale into Folsom.  An alternative route is to take nearby Lake Natoma Crossing to Natoma Street to avoid the area of construction. Rainbow Bridge was originally built in 1917.  It has provided 99 years of good service as a crossing for the American River, but it is in need of an overhaul.

Cracked Tub Drain Leak Found in Folsom  It took a contractor to find this tricky leak in Folsom. Others were trying to repair all sorts of likely sources of the leaking water. Plumbers putty, tightening of the drain, and checking the overflow proved to be useless. Sometimes finding the leak is just hard to find. After all the other ideas were exhausted, I had a chance to take a look. I opened the ceiling below to get a look up close, I could see that water had been leaking for some time. It was hard to see the crack, but I know from experience that this was the reason. After cutting out the damaged plumbing drain, I could easily prove that this was the source of the water leaking into the unit below.
