We just returned from spring break and spent the week in San Diego and enjoyed all that San Diego has to offer. We even made it to opening game day at Petco Park. It was a long game--12 innings and the Giants won..go Giants! See below: my kids and one has a Giants shirt and a Padres hat...to blend in. The highlight of our trip was a visit to the San Diego Safari Park. If you have a chance to visit, I highly recommend taking the Deluxe Safari Tour and go out into the savannah and see and learn about the amazing animals that live there. Our guide was incredibly knowledgable! Our favorite was seeing the giraffes and having several of them walk over to our jeep. We were able to feed them some Acacia leaves and snap a few photos.   Butterfly Jungle   The Annual Springtime Celebration has begun at Safari Park.    Inside the rain forest greenhouse at Safari Park, thousands of butterflies await your visit to show you not only their individual colors and wing designs but also their sheer beauty. Preparation for this event started months ago when thousands of pupae ( larva > pupae>butterfly) were imported from butterfly farms in Central and South America. Pound for pound, these butterflies represent some of the most beautiful creatures  to inhabit our earth. I hope you will come to visit San Diego Safari Park and take in this special Spring Celebration of Butterfly Jungle. I have and I know you will enjoy it too!
