 Skating by the Sea Returns to the Hotel Del Coronado Beginning November 26, 2019 Believe it or not the time has come for the popular Skating by the Sea at the Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego, the 15th consecutive year. I believe this is the only beachfront ice skating in San Diego! Skating by the Sea starts Tuesday, November 26th and runs through January 5th 2020. We took a day and a half to enjoy being tourists in San Diego, and spent some of the time on Coronado Island on Father's Day in the town and at the Hotel Del Coronado. We stumbled across this amazing sand castle memorial to the horrific shootings in Orlando on the beach in front of the hotel.
