Thank You Camarillo Parents The fight to keep Camarillo neighborhood schools open reached its climax in the month of March.It was in this month that I joined a group of determined parents who were not going to let our school district change what we had set up for our children.It is remarkable what human determination and strength can achieve. A force of parents with different educational backgrounds, trades, and skills is not to be taken lightly by anyone. And it was our hard work and persistence that directed the school district to look into alternative ways of achieving their agenda.And it was this same group of dedicated parents that encouraged the school district to look into keeping our neighborhood school, Camarillo Heights, open for another year and we hope many more years to com...

 Due to his hard work, Joshua, our 18 year old, has been and will be the talk of town for many years to come. After receiving their teacher and principal Lipman's permission Joshua and his friend, Eric, were given permission to fulfill some community service credits by creating a replica of Adolfo Camarillo High School's mascot, the Scorpion.Some of you have seen Joshua's welding art works around our home, so you can just imagine the precision, dedication, and the devotion that this young man showed in the 100 hours he spent on the design and creation of this sculpture.  The Scorpion is about 8 ½ foot tall and the materials were donated by our neighbor who owns Southern California Gold Products.  On the day of the graduation ceremony the giant blue steel scorpion was unveiled and the te...

   Although the media is stating that there will be a 3-5% drop in real estate property values this year (2007), things are heating up in Ventura county and in particular in Camarillo.  The lower priced properties are still not moving as quickly as many sellers would like, but the higher end, more unique properties are moving rapidly.  We've seen a great resurgence in the market for these higher end ($1M+) properties. Buyers are excited about getting these "one of a kind" properties at a more reasonable price and while bank interest rates are still low.   While, for the most part, in this business there are very few guarantees, the one thing a seller can take to the bank, is the importance of ensuring that their property has great "curb appeal" and is staged properly so as to quickly ga...
