What will be like for the second half of 2023 in Real Estate? Observations from a Beverly Hills Realtor: Endre Barath, Jr.Currently, the number one question I am asked by Sellers in the greater Los Angeles area is "when do you think interest rates will come down from the elevated 7+ percent so we can sell this home and buy another?" Keep in mind, these are sellers who are considering downsizing, but downsizing does not pencil for them because of the affordability issues.  On the other hand, I also have Sellers who have outgrown their current home and face the same challenge. Well, here we are six month of 2023 is almost in the rearview mirror. I am always and have been self-motivated, there are times when I am lost for words how to share my self-motivation to my friends and followers and those who read my posts on a consistent basis. I have been very busy lately and the results are there to show it. The greater Los Angeles real estate inventory has been shrinking year over year. Generally speaking, that translates to rising home prices. Now to complicate matters there are fewer buyers in the market due to interest rate increases. I was devastated to read this:  The lauded chef and restaurateur is closing his Jean-Georges restaurant in Beverly Hills, Eater L.A. reported on Monday. The fine- dining spot inside the Waldorf Astoria hotel will be calling it quits this week, with a new restaurant already slated to take over the space starting May 12.So, with that said I pulled out my cookbook on Wednesday and decided to make a meal from his cookbook.  A Real Estate Forecast from a Beverly Hills Realtor: Endre Barath, Jr.... First up, in case you missed it, the Federal Reserve raised the interest rates by .25 % making it more challenging to secure a loan. Since Borrowers will have even more stringent terms (in addition to the higher interest rates) all this points to less loans, thus fewer home buyers.  Let's add to this mix the shortage of Spring housing inventory; what does this mean for the Real Estate Market?
