Benicia, CA., once known as the State Capitol of California, is a very quaint and beautiful town!  The spirit of community and brotherhood abounds.  Benicia offers many historic landmarks that make up it's unique geography. Downtown Benicia Landmarks include the Historic Clocktower, The Camel Barn and the Train Depot, which is one of my favorite places to chill and enjoy the cool breeze from the straits, and smell that fresh salt air! Benicia has a great harbor loaded with vessels, bayliners and yachts.  The ambiance in downtown is like no other.  The local people and businesses are the most friendly people on earth. You feel a real sense of "pride of ownership" when you're visiting the downtown. There are good schools, great shopping, historical landmarks, plenty of antique and specia...

Come visit and enjoy the same town feeling of Historic Benicia that overlooks the Carquinez Strait. Benicia was ranked as a LOW COST location according to Kosmont's 1999 Cost of Doing Business Survey. Benicia has the lowest Solano County crime rate and has one of the lowest in the United States for cities under a 30,000 population count. Some of the major company headquarters in Benicia include Valero, Bio-Rad, Nationwide Auctions and Bebe. Benicia's unemployment rate is approximately 3% and Benicia was on of Money magazine's "Best Place to live (August 2005)." One of the factors for this may be the 4th of July parade and Farmer's Market on Thursday nights. Finally, Benicia was named "Best Place to Raise a Family" according to the San Francisco Chronicle survey. Thirty eight percent of ...

I have received numerous emails and phone calls requesting a copy of "The Realtor Blues" This song was written by Jeff Dennis (President of the Solano Association of Realtors) and music by Brad Andersohn. The song features David Sikes (formerly of the band Boston) as the lead vocalist and bass player. If you would like to know how to get a free copy of this song written for the Realtors of California, please post me a note and I'll get you your FREE copy. It's a great song. It was introduced at the CAR meeting in Monterey Last month. I know you'll enjoy it! After you hear it, we'd love to hear your comments. Click HERE to Listen to the Realtor Blues. It actually has a pretty good hook, and with Dave's vocal, it makes it worthy of it's 2 1/4 minute debut! Very Raw, uncut, and funny too. ...

Right now, the “for sale” sign post installers are busy installing signs, but not taking them down. If you find yourself with a house on the market and it's just not getting noticed amongst your competition, there are several strategies you can put in place to speed up the sale. Psychologically, the seller has to first prepare himself for selling the house. This is perhaps the hardest step to accomplish. First, you need to understand the market and where your competition stands. Is there a similar house on the same street as yours with granite counter tops listed at a lower price? If so, your natural reaction would be to chase that listings price. This reaction is often the wrong one. Every house is unique, stop trying to be the best deal in town and create a marketing plan around what...
