An agent listed a large home in Malibu and there was some question as to the square footage of the home; title report vs. owner. The listing agent took the word of the seller and then an offer came in from another agent in the same office. Have You Visited the State Capital Where You Live?  In 2015, I had the opportunity to go to Sacramento on business and view part of the State Capital Building. It was a fantastic feeling to walk through the halls of so many politicians; Governors, Senators, House Representatives and so many other important people plus the public. 10 Things I Am So Grateful For in 2015 I am typically a 'glass half full' person vs. a 'glass half empty'. I do get sad sometimes and miss my parents during the holidays but try to usually be positive and happy. Here is a list of my 10 favorite things I am grateful for this year. 1. Watching Birds in My NeighborhoodCalimesa and Beaumont Yesterday I noticed one of my dogs quietly watching the patio area and her tail was wagging. I snuck outside using the side door and there was a cute little bird sitting on my garden wall.This bird is called a "Black Phoebe" and has distinctive marking with the two tone coloring and their sharp whistle call.I had a family of these birds at my previous home and they would have 3-4 nests per year. Facts About Thanksgiving Day to Share The 1st Thanksgiving is documented on Nov 21, 1621, a year after 102 English citizens  fled England. They were commonly called "the Pilgrims" and  anchored on the banks of Cape Cod. They arrived on a small ship called the Mayflower and the trip took 66 days.  The feast was said to be a 3-day event and was a celebration of a good harvest of squash, beans, and corn and learning skills to hunt and fish. The celebration feast was shared with North American natives who had taught them to grow food, hunt and fish. Would You Buy This House...Poor PhotoI feel as a real estate professional that is my duty to do the very best job for my client and also feel it is a reflection on all of use when someone fails to meet the basic criteria.Recently, I received a listing from one of the major internet advertisers and I couldn't believe the photo. Yes, this is the only photo for the house. Our MLS has standards one being the first photo MUST be the front of the house. Also our MLS allows us 36 photos which gives the viewer a pretty good idea of the house inside and out.  Cropping Photos- I have taken photos of messy rooms but I try to shoot high or crop the room as it is never my intention to embarass the seller or their tenant. As of November 7, 2015 the Lowe’s Program for REALTORS® will no longer be available and Lowe’s will no longer be a REALTOR Benefits® Program partner. I am very disappointed as I put all my clients, buyers and sellers, in this data base and Lowe's sends them email coupons typically 10% off up to $10,000. National Cat Day Today on October 29, 2015  National Cat Day was founded in 2005 by Pet and Family Lifestyle Expert & Animal Welfare Advocate Colleen Paige.  This day was created to get the  public to recognize the number of cats that need to be rescued each year and also to encourage cat lovers to celebrate the cat(s) in their lives for the unconditional love and companionship they bestow upon us.I am a dog person but love cats and used to have a orange Tabby cat who lived to be over 20 years old. I still miss my Tabby cat who was so big and had these monster feet. He looked like "Morris" and used to run across the roof and jump down off the roof when visitors came to the door.
