Canadian Museum of Flight Fundraiser – March 31, 2012   The Langley Airport is proud to host the annual Canadian Museum of Flight Auction & Fundraiser, March 31, 2012.  The Canadian Museum of Flight is 35 years old!   The High–flyin’ Hawaii-themed event bound to be fun – come in your best hula gear! Langley Memorial Hospital Foundation Charity Gala – Under the Big Top!   For 20 years the Langley Memorial Hospital Foundation has been hosting a Charity Gala and this year it’s Under the Big Top!  The event is being held Saturday, May 12 2012, 6:00p.m. at Thunderbird Show Park. Amazing entertainment, a delicious feast and surprises galore can be found Under the Big Top. ‘Mardi Bras’ for a Cause!    As Fat Tuesday and Mardi Gras are fast approaching I wanted to remind those in the Lower Mainland of BC of the annual Bras for a Cause event hosted by the Soroptimist International of the Langleys. Good News for Langley School District – Grad Rates are UP!   The district achievement reports prepared by the Langley School Board have identified that School District #35 (the Langley School District) graduates 84% of its students. The report was released at Tuesday’s Board Meeting.    This is the third year in a row that Langley has exceeded the provincial graduation average of 81%.  Langley’s 84% is the highest rate for the District in the past decade!   Female graduation rates are at 87.6% and male rates are close at 80.2% - both higher than the respective provincial averages.   In her presentation of the achievement reports on Dec 12, 2011, Superintendent of Schools, at the time, Cheryle Beaumont, indicated that 90% is the next target!  Congratulations students, teachers, Board Mem... 02/03/2012
