  How Pleasant Is The Sedona Weather In Spring?   Sedona Weather StatisticsApril 2020For all stats and a look at weather in previous years, go to Sedona-Weather.com  Why Is Sedona Weather Almost Perfect?April had a little of every temperature range! There is nothing hum-drum about the weather.  We enjoyed some Sedona 70º plus spring weather at the beginning of the month and around the 9th, a cold front came in and made it feel like winter for about 5 days. Of course, that is if your winter is in the 50ºs and 60ºs! We had no freezing temps and only 1 day dipped below 32º for about an hour. The mean temp was almost 1º higher than in April of 2019. During the first week of April, the tree finally started to show the leaves.  Sedona Mayor Pleas For Visitors To Stay Home  Unusual Time Calls For Unusual ActionSedona's resources are being stressed due to visitors hiking the trails in Red Rock Country. Visitors are disregarding the distancing guidelines that need to be strictly adhered to. This image of Rick and Sheri was taken on Devils Bridge back in 2005. Seven Canyons is in the background.  Even after "Shelter-in-place" recommendations have been put into place, we are finding visitors/tourists hiking in areas such as Soldiers Pass - Seven Pools - Devils Kitchen - Boynton Canyon and Devil's Bridge (pictured in the video and image below) are lining up in close proximity to each other to take their turn on the natural arch for a picture. Sedona Weather Stats February 2020For all stats go to Sedona-Weather.com  February is in the books! This is the 11th year that the Weather Station at the Coffeepot Cottages has been keeping records. February is generally the third coldest month of the year with December coming in behind January. February and March have been known to have more snow than the other months but as the days push closer to March, the mean temperature usually pushes up about 3º to 4º. For example, today it got up to 68.6º.  We are still looking for our first 70º day. February 2020 - No Snow!Fortunately, February was a much warmer month than last year and also warmer than January. Sedona Record Snow StormFebruary 2019 25.51 Inches of Snow...A Record High Quality-2019-Feb-21-Winter-Storm from Rick & Sheri Sperry on Vimeo. There is something special about looking back on this huge snowstorm last year.  Feb. 17th = 7", Feb. 21 = 10" and Feb 22 = 8"!  Of course, this all happened last year and is extremely unusual.  The record snowfall was 25.51 inches.  My husband told me in 2019, that the next time we had a snowstorm, he was going to send the drone up to check it out.  Enchantment Resort  Enchantment Website Tii Gavo means "a gathering place".  It is casual dining in a 5-star resort setting.   Sedona Weather Recap Final for 2019 Everybody has a different threshold of what they think is a good temperature range.  The above chart is designed to show you different temperature ranges and how the days fall in those ranges.  Note: There were no days with a high below 32º. This means that snow melts every single day if we have any.  Because humidity is felt in both cold and warm temperatures, the temps do not feel as hot or cold as other areas of the United States.  We get very low humidity overall. That means no "sticky" weather or "frigid to the bones" weather! December seemed a lot colder than previous Decembers.
