- March 2024 Scottsdale Homes for Sale and Home Sales - Now that it is the high season, we are seeing lots of sales activity in Scottsdale. Inventory, contracts and sales were all up. SCOTTSDALE HOME SALES ACTIVITY –  MARCH 2024 Each month, we look at the following four items related to home sales: - Single-family homes for sale - Orange Line - How many homes were on the market at the end of the month. - Under contract, but accepting backup offers (UCB) - Gray Line - The number of UCB contracts there were at the end of the month. - Pending home sales - Yellow Line - How many pending sales there were at the end of the month.*- Home Sales - Blue Line - How many homes sold during the month. - March 2024 Scottsdale Housing Market Video - Here is a quick video overview of the Scottsdale, Arizona single-family home real estate market that covers the month of March. March 2024 - Video Scottsdale Active Listings Inventory saw a small dip between the end of March and the end of February. However, there are quite a few more homes for sale than this time last year. The number of homes for sale was 1,234. This is down 0.5.0% over February and up 14.3% when compared to March of 2023. Average List Price for Scottsdale Homes I used to use median listing price data, but I no longer have accurate access to that information. So, I have started to track average listing prices. I was looking for a great demonstration of "the good life" in Scottsdale, and it was only natural to look at the Scottsdale Four Seasons Resort. But I didn't expect to find such a bargain at the same time. It turns out that every day at happy hour (3 PM to 6 PM) in the resort's Onyx Bar and Lounge, you can get the pizza pictured at the left for a mere $8, and if you want, wash it down with a similarly bargain-priced happy hour beverage. For example, I had a Sam Adams beer for $4. The resort's so-called "luna" pizza is a work of culinary creativity. It's  a hand-shaped oblong crust with edges of caramelized bubbles and blisters generously topped in the center with prosciutto, a sprinkling of roasted pear and fresh mozzarella.
