But, something about the sunrise that just screams "Good Morning" brings such a sense of gratitude for earth and waking up to a new day.  They say that sunrises are so beautiful because in the middle of the day, when the sun is overhead, the light from the sun has its shortest path through the atmosphere to reach us. Blue waves are shorter and scatter - that helps make the sky look blue. ... Now at sunrise and sunset, the sun is at a much lower angle to earth. Spiritually it is said that the sunrise is a symbol of birth and rebirth or " awakening ". I'm learning there is so much to do here in Prescott, AZ. This Sunday, October 18th is the Prescott Historic Trolley Tour and Picnic. Tickets range from $50 to $60 per person. I love nature and love the maturity of this tree. After some research I have found out that the Ponderosa Pine has several distinct scents that no one ever really seems to agree on. Some people will smell butterscotch or vanilla and another person can smell coconut or cinnamon. Scientists don't know why a closely sniffed Ponderosa smells like baking cookies, but nevertheless it does. Some scientists believe it may be from a chemical in the sap that is warmed by the sun.  Arizona is actually home to the largest contiguous tract of Ponderosa pine forest in the world. My dude and I are back in Prescott, AZ. We love it here. There is so much to do and we are excited to explore new opportunities and see so many things that Prescott, AZ has to offer. I can understand why so many love Prescott living. The town boasts of so much rich history and so many things to do. This weekend, on Saturday, we are going to go and visit the Cowgirl Country Antique Store where they are hosting an antique event with a parking lot full of vintage items. It starts at 8am and while the weather is calling for a hot day, we are prepared with plenty of water, camera and shopping bags! Willow Lake - Prescott Area AZOn Sunday August 5th, my husband and I decided to take a drive out to Prescott where the community of Talking Rock is located. We did not have our grandson to watch because he is in Switzerland with his parents for the month. I have a client who wanted me to preview a beautiful luxury home in Talking Rock. On the way back, we went past Willow Lake and had to take a picture. This is just a small finger of the lake. But the deep blue color of the water was very impressive framed by the cream colored boulders. A couple of months ago, I had a Seller m.ake a trip from Hutchinson, Kansas to Prescott, Arizona to meet with me to list his 95-acre lot near Seligman, Arizona. I thought it was strange for him to make that long trip in order to meet with me personally to do the listing paperwork. I frequently work with out-of-town or out-of-state Sellers but we usually do their listing paperwork via electronic signing. Apparently, he placed an extremely high value on having a face-to-face meeting with me.This time I met with him in my Realty ONE Office. He brought a thick file folder with him that contained detailed information on the property he wanted to sell.
